Take me out to the ball game...

This weekend is over the top with the men in my life and their hobbies. Here it is…Ethan has a baseball game tonight at 5:00pm.  Yes, I said 5pm…I’m barely off work at that time. Then, Allen has double header softball games tonight starting at 8pm. We will go home shower, sleep and back up in the morning for baseball pics at 8am. Yep, 8am in the morning. So, we’ll leave our house at 7am which means we get up around 6am on a Saturday. What?!?! Ethan will end the weekend of baseball with one more game at 9am on Saturday. Yikers!! What in the world am I going to do when Kenzie wants to play ball?

Yes, I complain, but it could be worse. It could always be worse. My child is healthy and can play ball and I’m thankful for that alone and my husband could be involved in much worse things than a church softball league.  So, when I step back and look at it… it’s not too bad.

So, take me out to the ball game….

If the shoe fits....

Ok, so if you saw my first "If the shoe fits..." post, then you know what this is all about.  I'm on a daily mission to actually wear all the shoes in my closet.  Here is a cute pair of Banana Yellow Wedges that I chose to wear today.

Pirates of the I Don't Care-ibbean

The First Church Nashvlle children simply blew me away with their peformance yesterday.

They performed Pirates of the I Don't Care-ibbean... a powerful message about not treasuring the things of this earth and getting distracted with all the things the enemy may dangle in front of us, but laying up our treasures in Heaven and keeping what really matters close to our hearts.  Those kids not only performed, they preached a message.  They didn't skip a beat and they brought the house down with their finale performance "Sold Out"!!!!  I'm so proud of them.  My lil' pirate, Ethan, sang the first verse of a solo and it was simply amazing.  I hope to get a video clip and some pics to include soon.

Thanks to THE BEST children's ministry staff anywhere!!!  Bro. Doug, Sis. Lori and Sis. Shawnee for months spent with these children perfecting this performance.  It was simply AMAZING!!!!!  I'm not kidding when I say, this was the best kids performance I've EVER witnessed anywhere.  Really!!!

He Said - She Said

This will be the first of many "He Said - She Said" quotes from my children/family.  I usally make quick post to facebook to share their silliness with my friends, but I want to be able to document for family reading.  Therefore, my blog will capture the silly words that roll of their tongues from day to day.

As you've proably read before in my post, my little girl (MaKenzie) is very sweet, but also was sprinkled with a dab of sassy.  That being said, "Time Out" is no longer effective in the Bledsoe home.  Kenzie Grace decided she didn't want to obey this week and figured it was just easier to place herself in time out.

She said "I'll just go to time out"... and proceeded to find her seat.  Have Mercy!!

~ Summer Fun ~

I have found the kids summer swimwear...all to be purchased with consignment proceeds.

Only 5 weeks until Summer Fun!!!

For those of you that know me, I've been planning on transitioning the guest room in our house for some time now.  My inspiration was the beautiful damask comforter in brown & sea mist blue/green below.  I purchased it several months ago and have just now landed on a paint color for the room.  I can't wait to get the room painted and pull this room together.  It will be a collection of silver sage elements from Restoration Hardware, Browns and Whites.  Crisp & Clean, but with depth of color.  Yes, I'm totally crazy for having two room makeovers at once, but such is life... CRAZY!!

Stay tuned for final room pics!!!

~ Best friends double your joy and divide your grief ~

My best friend and I went out Friday night to spend some time together.

We chose Sambuca.

I was her anniversary date so to speak.  :-)  My husband (Allen) was on a hunting trip at LBL, so us girls took a few hours with just the two of us.  It was nice....just getting to talk to her.  She's going through so much right now.  Life isn't fair and it stinks.  Anyway, we had a great time.  We got ready in the same bathroom like old times, went shoe shopping and off to Sambuca for a nice dinner and music.  It was a good night.  We must do it more often.

Love you Pamela!!!

~ You're my Inspiration ~

Slow, but it's still progress.  This is an update on Kenzie's Room transition.  If you saw the goodbye post to her nursery, then you know this is very different than where I thought we would go with the room.  It's clean, it's crisp, but with a lil' Shabby.  Found this for half of what I was thinking I would pay and was on the fence at first, but brought it home and placed it on her bed and I think it's going to work.

She LOVES it!!!  She said "Mommy, thanks's booty-ful!".  So, I think it might be a keeper.  Stay tuned for the finished product.....

Just because it's fun

Just some random silly pics from iPhone of my gang.  Not the best quality, but it's just us having fun and living life.

So, here's to RANDOM SILLINESS!!!!!!

That's not how the story ends....

Yankees were struggling tonight and had their first loss (8-7).  But my Yankee had a pretty good game...2 hits, 2 RBIs and 1 score got him the game ball.

Way to go #1!!!!

But that's not how the story ends.  I did something bad... really bad!  I mistakenly wrote on Ethan's baseball that he was given by a 1st base Sounds player last season.  I thought it was tonight's game ball and was going to put the stats on it.  Yikes!  I feel terrible.  He was broken hearted.  I told him I would fix it.  Yes, I will fix black Sharpie on a white leather baseball... somehow.... ????

Have mercy!!!!

If the shoe fits....

Ok, so I've realized that I have a closet FULL of SHOES, SHOES... and more SHOES!!!!  After purging old shoes that I just will never wear again, I still have a boat load.

What can I say?... I LOVE SHOES!!!!

Heres the deal though, even though I love all kinds of shoes I've caught myself only wearing a small percentage of what's in my closet.  So, with that in mind I'm challenging myself to make a change.

I'm going to take a look at my shoe collection... one shoe at a time.

So, if the shoe fits... WEAR IT!!!

Today's shoes...

Easter 2010

I know... I know... everyone else has already posted their Easter pics and I can't get my act together long enough to do this one thing.  Truth is... I'm slammed.  So, I'm posting this as a place holder so my Easter pics won't be posted in August.  :-)  Stay tuned.....

Here is a teaser.  :-)

Kenzie Grace in her Easter dress and vintage styled hair.  She was so cute Eastern morning.

Ok, so I'm coming back a lil' while later to update Easter with a few pics and summary.  The kids were so excited to get their Easter basket.  However, Ethan had went to the doc on Saturday to discover that he had strep throat.  So, no church for him on Eastern Sunday morning.  Bless his heart.  He knows I'm all about capturing the moment and even though he didn't feel well, he asked if I wanted him to put on his suit so I could get pictures.  It was precious!!  So, Ethan and I stayed home Eastern morning and Allen and Kenzie Grace went to Sunday School.  I think this was the first time EVER that we've missed Easter morning service with the kids.  Ethan wasn't happy at all that he couldn't go to church that morning.  Allen made it up to him after church and brought him a double barrell shotgun that he had been looking at for Ethan.  Ethan was beside himself to say the least.

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live...and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die..." John 11: 25-26
