Celebrating Freedom | Dear Abigail

July 2, 1776, the Eve of Freedom:
"But the day is past.  The second day of July, 1776, will be a memorable epoch in the history of America.  I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival.  It out to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.  It ought to be solemnized with pomp, shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of the continent to the other, from this time forward forever."
John Adams to Abigail Adams on the Eve of the Declaration of Independence

May the significance of this day be renewed in your heart as we celebrate the freedom and this great country of America!!!

MAY WE NEVER FORGET
THAT WE ARE A PEOPLE
WHO HAVE BEEN DELIVERED
FROM TYRANNY TO LIBERTY
FROM OPPRESSION TO FREEDOM
FROM FEAR TO COURAGE
TODAY, ABOVE ALL DAYS...
MAY WE RENEW
OUR PERSONAL DEVOTION
TO THE GIVER
OF ALL LIBERTY

Wishing you a safe and very Happy Independence Day!!!

Blessings,
Anna
